Quotes

Daniel Borgertpoepping, Team Owner

“This team is riding a great wave of momentum coming out of Bathurst but this is an entirely different kettle of fish. I’m excited to see what the drivers do in a multi-class field and Daytona is a track they know extremely well. A one-hour race is going to feel like a sprint compared to what we’re used to so this is an interesting challenge.

We’re grateful to be part of this league and we’re looking forward to an intense competition over the next ten rounds.”

Aculeus Racing Takes on the Mountain

Aculeus Racing will take a two-man team to Bathurst for the Bathurst 12-Hour on February 21.

This week, a two-man team trades the Corvette Z06 GT3.R for the McLaren 720S GT3 to take on Mount Panorama in the Bathurst 12-Hour on iRacing.

The twisty mountain section can be a disaster waiting to happen, while the long back straight and the run to Turn 2 present some of the best opportunities for overtaking. Driver errors can be punished heavily at Bathurst and much of the challenge will come from avoiding other teams’ incidents while keeping our nose clean.

Drivers

  • Rodney Roberts

  • Jack Vincent-Spall

Quotes

DANIEL BORGERTPOEPPING, TEAM OWNER

“The team has been extremely focused on Bathurst since the Top-20 finish in the Daytona 24 and I’m optimistic heading into this race. We’ve swapped to the McLaren 720S GT3 for a little more agility in the tight spaces on the mountain and the balance looks solid. Now it’s down to execution and I’m excited to see what Jack and Rodney can do.”
